An East Hampton-based environmental, health and safety consulting firm has been acquired by a New York company looking to access new markets.
Walden Environmental Engineering, a provider of civil and environmental engineering services headquartered in Oyster Bay, New York, announced Wednesday that it has purchased Turnkey Compliance Solutions.
Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
In a statement, Joseph Heaney, Walden’s president, said the acquisition will allow the combined company to offer clients a greater range of services and expertise.
Turnkey, which was formed in 2006, specializes in compliance auditing and environmental site assessments, environmental, health and safety program development, waste management, hazardous materials management, training, environmental management systems and regulatory consulting.
“This acquisition will allow us to continue providing our clients with the outstanding service they are accustomed to while expanding our services and solutions for them through the additional environmental and engineering services Walden provides,” said Turnkey co-founder Mike Balda. “It is a winning situation all around, and our whole team is excited to be part of Walden.”
Going forward, Turnkey will be known as “Turnkey Compliance Solutions, a Division of Walden Environmental Engineering.”
Turnkey’s founders, Balda and Mark Morgano, will remain as directors of the Turnkey division within Walden, company officials said.
