East Hartford construction supply company continues acquisition spree

East Hartford-based construction supply company NEFCO has acquired a Texas-based tool specialist, Sheinberg Tool Co. 

NEFCO said the deal marks its ninth acquisition since 2022 and expands its network to 43 locations.

Terms of the purchase were not disclosed.

“We are looking forward to combining two great family run businesses as we integrate Sheinberg Tool into our Texas Supply Chain and link it up with our Austin Fulfillment Center,” said Matthew Gelles, president and CEO of NEFCO in a statement.

Sheinberg Tool provides hand- and power tools to construction, electrical, plumbing and HVAC contractors in south Texas.

Family-owned NEFCO provides products and services to construction companies and contractors including local inventories, jobsite delivery, engineering services and specialty fabrication and assembly of construction materials.

Acquisitions earlier this year include companies in Pennsylvania and Arizona.
