Shelton-based Edgewell Personal Care has expanded its Jack Black men’s product line with three new acne treatments designed for male customers.

The company said the new line will feature a balancing foam cleanser, an overnight repair moisturizer and a clearing spot treatment.

“Many Jack Black men often share that they still experience acne, whether in their teen years or as adults. While we’ve been developing the Acne Remedy Formulas for some time now, we’ve really seen an increase in the need for acne solutions due to increased stress and consistent use of face masks. So, the need for quality, effective men’s acne solutions was palpable,” Gabrielle DeLatin, director of marketing at Jack Black, said in a press release.

Edgewell purchased Jack Black in 2018, calling it  a “breakthrough brand” that drives the growth of luxury men’s products.

The global personal care product giant, which includes brands such as Schick, Skintimate shave preparations and Bulldog, also announced financial results for its second fiscal quarter 2021.

According to the executive summary:

  • Net sales were $519.3 million, a decrease of 0.7%, when compared to the prior year period.
  • Adjusted earnings per share were $0.70 for the second quarter, compared to $0.92 in the prior year period.
  • GAAP diluted earnings per share were $0.26 for the second quarter compared to $0.36 in the prior year period.
  • Organic net sales decreased 5.6% when compared to the prior year period. (Organic basis excludes the impact of the Cremo acquisition and the translational impact from currency.)
  • The company ended the quarter with $282 million in cash on hand, access to an undrawn $425 million credit facility and a net debt leverage ratio of 3.0.
  • The Board of Directors declared a cash dividend of $0.15 per common share for the second fiscal quarter.

“I am pleased with how our organization continues to execute against our strategic priorities while navigating the ongoing impact of COVID-19 on our business,” said Rod Little, Edgewell’s president and chief executive officer, in a press release.
