Energize CT to select four Energy SuperStars

An installment of the Energy Efficiency Fund's Energize Connecticut initiative will sponsor four Connecticut residents to become more energy efficient, according to a report.

The Energy SuperStars Challenge, with partners Connecticut Light & Power and United Illuminating, will select four residents in single-story or multi-level homes to participate in the program.

"This challenge is a very real and visible way to get Connecticut residents excited about energy efficiency," said Jamie Howland, Connecticut Energy Efficiency Board's first vice chairperson.

Chosen residents will be assigned an energy coach for six months to guide their energy efficient daily practices. Participants will receive further assistance after the challenge through rebates and other financial assistance opportunities.

CL&P and UI customers can sign up for the Energy SuperStars Challenge via Energize Connecticut's Facebook page through June 21.
