Lancashire Group, a Bermuda-based insurance company that operates in London, plans to open its first U.S. office in Greenwich.
Rye Brook, New York-based Win Properties has signed Lancashire to a “long-term” lease for 6,468 square feet of space on the second floor of its Class A office building at 145 Mason St., according to Newmark Group, Inc., the broker representing Win Properties.
Savills, a London-based real estate property company, represented Lancashire.
Win Properties is charging $125 per square foot for the property, earning $808,500 per month in the deal.
“They were drawn to the area given the heavy population of financial institutions within the area and the building's recent repositioning,” Newmark said. “This marks the continued trend and demand for Class A space within the Greenwich submarket.”
Win Properties recently carried out an extensive renovation of the entire two-story, 37,602-square-foot building that was done by A.P. Construction, Newmark said.
Lancashire provides insurance in the property, energy, marine and aviation sectors.
