Bead CEO Mayer named to national leadership role

Jill Mayer, CEO of Bead Industries.

Jill Mayer, CEO of Milford-based manufacturer Bead Industries, was recently named to the National Small Business Association (NSBA) Leadership Council.

As a council member, Mayer will work with small-business advocates from across the country to promote the interests of small business to policymakers in Washington, D.C.

“As a small-business owner, I see regularly the importance of being involved and active when it comes to laws and regulation,” Mayer said. “Joining NSBA’s Leadership Council will enable me to take our collective small-business message to the people that need to hear it most: Congress.”

Mayer said she joined the council to tackle critical issues facing small business, including tax reform, regulatory matters, health care costs and access to capital.

Mayer also serves on the executive board of directors for ManufactureCT and the board of the Connecticut Business and Industry Association.
