Fairfield Univ.’s $18K federal grant to boost nursing program
Fairfield University has received a $17,285 federal grant to boost its nurse training program.
The grant, announced Tuesday by Rep. Jim Himes, will help fund Fairfield University’s nurse anesthetist traineeship program. The funding will be used to support students at Fairfield University’s School of Nursing in order to increase the workforce of future primary care nurse practitioners.
The funding was awarded through the Health Resources and Services Administration’s Nurse Anesthetist Traineeships grant program.
