Commercial construction company Construx Co. has relocated its headquarters from Farmington to Hartford, where the company began some eight years ago.
Construx says it doubled its headcount in 2024, necessitating a larger office facility. It has moved into a 4,755-square-foot space at 10 Sequassen St., near Charter Oak Landing on the Connecticut River.
When Construx Co. was founded in 2017, it occupied rented office space in the same building, located in the Coltsville Historic District, before moving to Canton and then to Farmington.
“We’re back at Sequassen and Hartford, where it all began,” said owner Larry Mason. “The city has always been an integral part of our journey, and we’re excited to re-establish our presence here.”
Construx is currently managing three projects on Pratt Street, along with several other developments across the state, including the new Elicit Brewery location in Danbury and The Friendly Toast in West Hartford.
Mike Zaleski, president & CEO of Riverfront Recapture, welcomed the firm’s return.
“We appreciate Construx’s past sponsorship and involvement in Riverfront’s fundraising events,” he said. “We expect their return to Hartford to be positive, as they work with clients and also re-engage in collaboration and support of the community, including within our regional park system.”
