Fine Fettle’s seventh dispensary in Connecticut is set to open in Bristol next week, the company announced.
Fine Fettle’s Bristol store, which will serve both recreational customers and medical marijuana patients as a hybrid dispensary, opens at 1214 Farmington Ave., on Friday, June 21. It’s the company's seventh dispensary in Connecticut overall and fourth equity joint venture partnership.
Fine Fettle COO Ben Zachs told the Hartford Business Journal that the store will open with 18 employees, many of which are industry veterans, or have worked at other Fine Fettle locations previously.
Company officials said local vendors and marijuana businesses will be at the opening day event, including Bristol-based cannabis edibles company SoundView, which recently launched in the state and has products on dispensary shelves. Zachs said all proceeds from the sale of SoundView products on opening day will be donated to the Boys and Girls Club of Bristol.
For those that don’t want to go in-person, delivery service from the new Bristol dispensary will begin opening day and extend across Avon, Bristol, Farmington, Plainville, Southington and Waterbury.
Fine Fettle joins The Healing Corner, a hybrid dispensary owned by multistate cannabis operator Trulieve, as Bristol’s second retail marijuana storefront, which is the limit town officials put on the industry when drafting up regulations.
"It's actually our first store where we're coming in with an established competitor already there," Zachs said, comparing the opening to the company’s other recent launches in Old Saybrook, Manchester and Norwalk. "The competitive juices are sort of flowing again."
