Fired Up: ‘Hell’s Kitchen’ to film next two seasons in new studio at Foxwoods

Foxwoods Resort Casino has brokered a deal with the underworld: the 23nd and 24th seasons of Gordon Ramsay’s hit culinary competition series, “Hell’s Kitchen,” will be filmed at a new custom-built set on the property.
It’s the first TV series to be filmed at Foxwoods, a spokesperson said.
Ironically, the show is moving to Connecticut at the same time as the legislature is considering a bill that eliminates the state's film production tax credit.
Previous seasons of “Hell’s Kitchen” have been filmed in Los Angeles and Las Vegas. But the move to Mashantucket is a homecoming, of sorts.
Foxwoods first partnered with Ramsay with the opening of his sixth Hell’s Kitchen restaurant in the casino’s Grand Pequot Tower last July.
Ramsay’s production company, ITV America, has offices in Stamford, New York City, Los Angeles and Denver.
The 22nd season of “Hell’s Kitchen” wrapped up in January. Earlier this week, Fox announced that it renewed the show for another two seasons.
The show, which is approaching its 350th episode, features aspiring chefs competing for the right to hold a chef position at one of Ramsay’s restaurants across the country.
Construction of the new studio is underway and is set to be finished at the end of April. Foxwoods said in an announcement that the resort-casino will be prominently showcased in the series.
“Gordon Ramsay's fiery star power set against the backdrop of Foxwoods' stunning property guarantees that the next two seasons of Fox's show will deliver an unparalleled culinary showdown and viewing experience for ‘Hell's Kitchen’ fans,” said Jason Guyot, president and CEO of Foxwoods.
ITV America CEO David George said the new studio will be “perfect for the needs of ‘Hell’s Kitchen’” and that the company hopes to produce additional series at Foxwoods.
