Florida company to acquire Bristol pot dispensary

Investors continue to show interest in Connecticut’s medical marijuana industry, which has been operating for more than four years.

Florida-based Trulieve Cannabis Corp. said Thursday that it has agreed to acquire The Healing Corner Inc., a Bristol medical marijuana dispensary that opened in 2014, for an undisclosed price.

The deal is still subject to regulatory approvals.

It’s the latest in a string of recent deals in Connecticut’s medical marijuana sector.

The largest was Green Thumb Industries’ January acquisition of Advanced Grow Labs, a West Haven grower, for $80 million.

Also in January, Acreage Holdings acquired Uncasville dispensary Thames Valley Apothecary for $15.1 million, according to its latest quarterly earnings report.
