Former Hamden bank branch bought for medical office

A former Webster Bank branch property at 20 Circular Ave., Hamden has sold for $511,000, and the new owner plans to use it for medical office space.

Michael Richetelli, president and designated broker of Colonial Properties Inc. in Orange represented the buyer, DOCS Realty LLC of Orange.

The buyer’s principals are listed as Namrita Talwar and Jasdeep Sidana of Westport, according to the Secretary of the State’s office.

The property is a 6,100-square-foot, two-story office building on approximately 0.85 acres.

Mike Grieder, a Realtor with Godin Property Brokers in Middlebury represented the seller, Kush Rudha LLC.

Southington site to be auction house

In another recent deal for Colonial, Realtor Tony Vitti was the sole broker in the sale of 172 Wonx Spring Rd., Southington, for $795,000. The property is also known as 8 Metals Dr., Plantsville.

The 10,000-square-foot light industrial building is on 1.57 acres and is visible from I-84. 

Carrington Company LLC sold the property, which had been home to the Carrington Company for decades.

According to Colonial, the buyers, Ryan Brechlin and Thomas Selmont, plan to turn the property into an auction house.

Richetelli said the two recent sales reflect continued demand for owner/user properties.

“Both buildings will be converted from their prior uses (bank branch and manufacturing) to uses more conducive to today’s evolving economy and are prime adaptive reuse examples,” Richetelli said.

Kitchen company leases Guilford space

American Marketing International LLC has inked a three-year lease for a 6,324-square-foot space at 1 Shoreline Dr., Guilford.

The new tenant designs, supplies and installs commercial kitchens and equipment.

Financial terms of the lease were not disclosed. The space is a portion of a high-bay warehousing and distribution facility.
