Robert Leduc, former president of East Hartford jet engine maker Pratt & Whitney, was elected to the board of directors of Chicago-based aerospace and defense company AAR Corp.
Leduc, who retired from his job helming Pratt earlier this year, worked in senior executive roles at major manufacturers like United Technologies Corp. and Sikorsky Aircraft -- of which he served as president -- for nearly four decades, AAR said.
"Bob brings significant industry and leadership experience as well as a deep knowledge of the aviation market from his time at United Technologies," AAR president and CEO John M. Holmes said.
Leduc had served as Pratt's president since 2016, when he retired from the job.
