Frontier Airlines is adding a nonstop route to Las Vegas from Bradley International Airport, the Connecticut Airport Authority announced on Tuesday.
It will be the second nonstop flight added to the Sin City in recent months. Breeze Airways announced in April it was adding a direct flight to Vegas starting in September.
Beginning in August, Frontier will offer daily nonstop service from Bradley to Las Vegas. The flights will begin during what CAA officials expect to be a busy summer season as people travel more coming out of the coronavirus pandemic.
Bradley International Airport could see more than 10,000 passengers take off daily during the summer months, Bradley officials said.
Bradley has added several new nonstop routes recently as the airport continues its recovery from the pandemic. Air Canada recently announced it was returning to the airport with a nonstop flight to Toronto.
Breeze Airways made Bradley its fifth base of operations in the country when it came last year and has since added almost a dozen nonstop flights to Columbus, Ohio; Norfolk, Virginia; Pittsburgh; Charleston, South Carolina; Nashville; Akron/Canton; Savannah; Richmond; and Jacksonville.
