Global lifestyle retailer Miniso has been busy the past few weeks opening new stores in Connecticut and across the United States, with another Nutmeg state location planned to open at Westfarms mall this fall.
Miniso, whose slogan is “Life is for fun” and sells a variety of cosmetics, home goods, snacks and Disney products, on Sunday opened in the Connecticut Post Mall in Milford. That followed the brand’s first location in the state, which opened at The SoNo Collection in Norwalk in August 2023.
Amanda Sirica, a spokesperson for Westfarms mall, said the Miniso shop there will move into space formerly occupied by Oakley. The sunglasses retailer’s lease ended in March.
“Westfarms is continuing the long-standing tradition of bringing new-to-market brands to its shoppers,” Sirica said, adding the Miniso “fits our merchandising mix.”
Miniso officials did not respond to a request for comment.
In addition to the three Connecticut stores, Miniso recently opened shops in the Holyoke (Mass.) Mall last weekend; in the Ingram Park Mall in San Antonio, Texas, on July 20; and at the Newport Centre in Jersey City, New Jersey, on July 13.
Founded in 2013, Miniso operates more than 8,500 stores in over 100 countries around the world, including in New York City, Los Angeles, Paris, London, Dubai, Sydney and Istanbul.
