Hartford Baking Co. announced Thursday it will be opening its fourth retail location.
The new cafe will be located in a new retail development at 150 Sullivan Ave., in South Windsor, Hartford Baking said.
The location will be over 3,000 square feet and feature call-ahead and online ordering and a drive-thru.
An opening date hasn’t yet been established.
“This new location will be our biggest with not only a drive-thru, but also a ‘market concept:’ prepared foods, more sandwiches on the menu, and a much larger bakery showcase and much more variety," said company President Scott Kluger.
Hartford Baking Co. currently has three retail locations, located at 965 Farmington Ave., West Hartford; 400 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury; and 767 Farmington Ave. in Farmington.
All cafes are supported by a central commissary bakery in Bloomfield, which also provides bread -- baked onsite, from scratch nightly -- to over 90 local restaurants and retail locations, the company said.
Hartford Baking Co. got its start in 2010, with one baker and four baristas, and has grown to over 50 employees, the company said.
