A Cleveland-based national women’s manufacturing association expects to draw more than 300 women at a three-day conference at the Connecticut Convention Center in the fall.
The 7th annual summit, which promotes women in the manufacturing industry across the country, is slated for Sept. 13-15 in Hartford. It’s being put on by the Women in Manufacturing.
Plant tours at some of Connecticut’s most advanced manufacturing facilities, including TRUMPF Inc., CNC Software Inc., Pratt & Whitney and Kaman Corp., are part of the conference.
The 800-member organization is the only one of its kind in the country to provide year-round programming and a national director for women in the industry.
