Hartford HealthCare said Tuesday that it has hired Cleveland-based Axuall, a workforce intelligence company, to help strengthen its clinician workforce and reduce burnout.

According to the company, Axuall's “workforce intelligence” services connect hospitals, health systems, staffing firms, large practice groups and telehealth to clinician data that can be used to streamline onboarding, recruiting and planning processes.

“Axuall's solution saves time and financial resources by providing ongoing monitoring and optimization of clinical workforces while also reducing clinician burnout and improving patient care,” the company states on its website.

Axuall states that it can help newly hired clinicians, including doctors and nurses, be onboarded up to 15 days faster, allowing them to see patients sooner and help eliminate burdens for existing staff. According to a report on its website, Axuall has helped health systems capture $74,000 in potential revenue per clinician with its accelerated onboarding process.

The company said that by harnessing data and analytics from nearly 7,000 data sources, Hartford HealthCare will also create “a vastly improved experience for its 6,000 clinicians by optimizing its care network, while increasing the amount of time for clinicians to treat patients.”

The health system, it added, will now be able to study clinicians inside and outside of its network to  identify gaps and surpluses and match and recruit talent.
