Hartford HealthCare opens same-day care clinic in Hartford

Hartford HealthCare (HHC) officially opened a new same-day care clinic in Hartford on Wednesday, touting it as an “innovative approach” for non-life-threatening conditions.

The Hartford HealthCare CareNow Same-Day Clinic, at 85 Seymour St., is intended for adults seeking “quick and convenient care” for non-life-threatening issues that still require medical attention, HHC said.

The clinic offers both in-person and virtual care. 

HHC said that its technology allows a medical group provider to connect virtually to deliver personalized care, complete with referrals and prescriptions. The provider can assess patient conditions in real time, listening to heart and lung sounds and examining ears, throats and skin, it said.  

The clinic also offers rapid testing for COVID, flu, strep and urinary infections.  Prescriptions can be filled both on-site at the Hartford HealthCare Community Pharmacy or at a preferred pharmacy.

The HHC Same-Day Care Clinic is open Monday through Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Weekend hours are expected to be added soon, HHC said.
