Hartford Innovation Week kicks off this month

More than a dozen events across the city are scheduled later this month as part of Hartford Innovation Week, a new series showcasing technology and entrepreneurship in and around Connecticut’s capital city.

Hartford Innovation Week is scheduled for next Tuesday, Sept. 26, through Friday, Sept. 29 at nine different locations in the city. Nassau Financial Group, a provider of fixed annuities and asset management, is hosting the event series in collaboration with CT Innovations, CT Insurance and Financial Services, and Insurtech Hartford.  Seventeen other organizations and companies are participating by presenting specific events.

Highlights of next week’s event series include discussions about diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace, talent recruitment and retention, quantum computing and the future of actuarial projects and an Insurtech Discovery Day for students.
    
While the event series officially kicks off next week, The Connecticut Captive Insurance Association is hosting its 2023 Annual Collaborative Thursday at the University of Connecticut School of Law.

Attendees can register for activities, panel discussions, insurtech pitch competitions and networking opportunities. Registration information and a full schedule of events can be found online.
