Dunkin' Donuts Park, home to the Double-A Hartford Yard Goats, is the minor league division’s best ballpark, according to recent rankings.

On Wednesday, Ballpark Digest ranked Hartford’s Dunkin’ Donuts Park as the best ballpark in the Double-A Eastern League for the second year. The Hartford Yard Goats, the Double-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies, is the only minor league team to win the award in consecutive seasons.

“Yard Goats fans continue to demonstrate a vibrant passion for Dunkin’ Donuts Park,” Yard Goats General Manager Mike Abramson said. “It’s truly an honor to be named best Double-A ballpark for the second year in a row… .”

The long delayed Dunkin’ Donuts Park opened in spring 2017, selling out 41 of 70 games in its inaugural season. The park ranked second in attendance in the Eastern League during its opening season drawing more than 395,00 fans in 2017.

Despite a fourth-place record of 33-36, the Yard Goats are leading the Eastern League in attendance this year with more than 216,300 fans and 20 sellout crowds. Team officials say the club has sold out every game during the last four weekends.

The Trenton Thunder, the Double-A affiliate for the New York Yankees, trail in attendance by more than 23,400 fans, according to Minor League Baseball.

The Hartford club is known for its humorous social media accounts and creative promotions, including a recent game where the team played as "Los Chivos de Hartford," a nod to Connecticut's latino population.

The team will also wear the uniforms, which translates from Spanish to "the Goats of Hartford," on July 17 and Aug. 24. The August promotion will coincide with the organization's annual Roberto Clemente Celebration game.
