Hartford’s Willow Creek housing bows

Photo | Contributed Rose Price, new Willow Creek resident and former Bowles Park resident, cuts the ceremonial ribbon at the grand opening of the $50 million community on Friday. Price was joined by Hartford Mayor Luke Bronin, Rep. Ritter (D-Hartford), developer Todd D. McClutchy, and other state and local officials.

The first quarter of the 400 housing units have debuted in the redeveloped Willow Creek community in Hartford’s North End.

The first 105 rental-housing units in Willow Creek’s first phase were formally dedicated last week. Work on the former 61-acre Bowles Park housing project began in 2017.

Stamford’s JHM Financial Group and the Hartford Housing Authority are co-developers of the $50 million project.

When fully complete, Willow Creek’s 400 apartments will replace nearly all of Bowles Park’s original 410 units.
