The New Haven-born Haven Hot Chicken chain’s third location will be opening in Norwalk on Saturday, Jan. 28.
The new eatery will be at 596 Westport Ave., Norwalk, a 2,500-square-foot space.
It will offer the brand’s menu of Nashville-style hot chicken sandwiches, tenders and vegetarian options. Customers can order varying spice levels, from “Country,” which has no spice, all the way up to “Haven,” the extremely spicy option. The vegetarian offerings are made from cauliflower. The menu also features fries and sides.
Jason Sobocinski, Haven Hot Chicken co-founder, said the new location represents an expansion into Fairfield County.
The original restaurant is in New Haven on Whitney Avenue, and its second location is in Orange, on the Boston Post Road. In addition to Norwalk, the chain in November announced plans for a fourth establishment, to open in North Haven on Washington Avenue in 2023.
“We are over the moon to bring our signature menu to Fairfield County, introducing a whole new population to the deliciousness of Nashville hot and ‘not’ chicken sandwiches,” Sobocinski said.
The Norwalk location offers parking, proximity to other retailers such as Whole Foods, and seating for in-house dining.
The business is planning an opening-day party with a ribbon-cutting, activities and free sandwiches to the first 300 in-person guests.
Restaurateurs Sobocinski, Rob LaTronica, Craig Sklar, Tom Sobocinski and Etkin Tekin teamed up to found Haven Hot Chicken in 2020.
