National recovery and wellness brand iCRYO plans to open seven new cryotherapy franchises across Connecticut.
iCRYO’s cryotherapy claims to help people recover faster from surgery, sculpt their bodies, reduce pain and inflammation and combat migraines.
Tracey and Gregg Miller opened the first iCRYO franchise in Connecticut in Fairfield in August 2021.
The team behind the new franchise agreement includes the Millers; Ron Pepe, a health club owner with 30-plus years experience in the health and fitness industry; Michael Krassner, a health and wellness entrepreneur; and Tom Wilson, a 25-year veteran in the health and fitness industry.
As a group they own franchising rights throughout the entire state.
The Millers said they’re still in the process of vetting the seven new locations, and they could not yet disclose where the new facilities will be located. The couple did confirm the new locations will be in Fairfield, New Haven and Hartford counties.
iCRYO, whose motto is to “elevate the lives of humans around the world through health,” currently has more than 250 locations nationwide, with a plan to build more than 1,000 locations globally.
The facility specializes in cryotherapy, or cold therapy, which is known to help treat migraines, reduce nerve pain and help ease arthritis, among other things. They also offer cryo facials, infrared saunas, compression therapy, red light therapy and body sculpting.
“As consumers seek out proactive wellness services and we continue to see the growing demand and various benefits that our iCRYO center is providing the Fairfield community, we are eager to continue expanding throughout the state,” Gregg Miller said.
Gregg Miller is also the owner of his family’s 55-year old Nissan car dealership in Fairfield, started by his grandfather in 1964.
iCRYO Co-Founder and COO Kyle Jones expects the brand’s offerings to be popular in Connecticut.
“We anticipate seeing tremendous growth throughout Connecticut,” Jones said.
