Bloomfield's Seabury Retirement Community for active adults named Richard C. Heath as its new executive vice president and chief executive officer, only the second in its 20-year history.
Heath fills a vacancy opened at the community at 200 Seabury Drive by the death last August of its first CEO, John S. Mobley.
Heath has more than 25 years of executive experience in senior health and housing management and operations.
He was president and CEO for 15 years at Gulf Coast Village Retirement Community in Cape Coral, Fla. Most recently, he was director of the Armed Forces Retirement Home in Gulfport, Miss.
A Columbus, Ohio, native, Heath has an education degree from Ohio State University, and an MS with a concentration in gerontology and business administration from the University of North Texas.
