Historic Hartford home enters final restoration phase

The Amos Bull House, the oldest brick building in Hartford, is entering the final phase of a $1.4 million renovation, the nonprofit that owns it announced.

The phase will take about a year to complete. The project includes The project includes an education and community center, office space, mechanical upgrades, cosmetic improvements and archival storage for Connecticut Landmarks, which acquired the Prospect Street home from the state in 2008.

A groundbreaking ceremony will take place Thursday at 4 p.m. Gov. Dannel Malloy's wife Cathy Malloy, Hartford Mayor Pedro Segarra and other state and local officials are scheduled to be in attendance.
