HNTB, an infrastructure design firm, has expanded its Connecticut office as the company continues to grow.
The employee-owned company, headquartered in Kansas City, recently leased an additional 2,000 square feet of space in an office building at 55 Capital Blvd., in Rocky Hill.
The expansion will accommodate a 50% increase in the number of employees in the Rocky Hill office over the last year, the company said. The expansion also provides more space for collaboration and a centralized location for conference rooms, according to a spokesperson.
“The Connecticut office has grown significantly in the past few months,” said Jacob Argiro, HNTB Connecticut office leader and vice president. “We’ve attracted talent from all over to come work on some of the most critical transportation projects in the state.”
HNTB said it’s seeing increased demand for its services, which include advising on transportation needs, financing, design, construction, community outreach and ongoing operations.
HNTB has been involved in major infrastructure projects in Connecticut, including the Gold Star Memorial Bridge, Mixmaster rehabilitation in Waterbury, Walk Bridge replacement, downtown crossing initiative in New Haven, as well as providing engineering services for the New Haven-Hartford-Springfield rail corridor.
HNTB has more than 70 offices across the U.S. and more than 7,000 employees.
