Southport marketing agency Horizon Group of North America says it’s acquired Glastonbury digital-marketing firm Cronin and its visual content production company, Off Leash Studios.

The three firms have combined to create a new organization called Cronin Group Holdings, but each will continue operating under their current names. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Under the acquisition, Cronin principals Kimberly Manning and Steven Wolfberg will continue in their roles as CEO and chief creative and growth officer, respectively. Cronin’s headquarters will remain in Glastonbury.

Horizon President Mark Demuro, who has become chairman of the combined company, in a statement said the deal centered on “combining the strengths of the three organizations…”

“We are building on the strong foundation of a thriving 73-year-old company that has doubled in size under the leadership of Kim and Steve,” Demuro said. “The three companies will take a disciplined approach creating leadership distance for our clients, anticipating change, opening new markets, and leapfrogging competition."

Cronin has experience working with national and regional brands in the health care, insurance, financial services and restaurant industries. Its combination with Horizon will deepen its services, and regional and national exposure, officials say.

Cronin says it provides services for clients including Amica Mutual Insurance, Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare, Henkel, Silver Hill Hospital and Neopost USA.
