A two-story building containing office and retail space on Stamford’s Shippan Avenue has sold for $2.36 million, according to the city’s land records.
Building One Community Corp., controlled by Susan Adamsen, bought the building at 417 Shippan Ave. from Sandler Realty Inc. of Pound Ridge, New York, land records show. Sandler Realty is controlled by Mark Sandler, its president, according to state records.
Adamsen is the vice chairperson of Building One Community, an organization focused on immigrant needs that moved its main location to the Shippan Avenue property from 75 Selleck St. in October, 2022, according to the organization’s website.
Calls to Building One Community, which still occupies the Selleck Street building as an educational center, were not immediately returned.
The Shippan Avenue building, which was built in 1975 and sits on a 0.54-acre parcel, has 4,777 square feet of retail space on the first floor and 5,700 square feet of office space on the second floor, according to property records.
It was appraised at $2.55 million and assessed at $1.78 million in 2024.
