Customers soon will be able to access primary care, health screenings and more at select Walgreens locations in Connecticut.
Walgreens is partnering with Hartford HealthCare to add the new in-store health clinics, which will allow 7-day-a-week access to healthcare providers.
Hartford HealthCare medical providers will operate five clinics under the clinical collaboration agreement.
The clinics will be located at Walgreens at 340 Flanders Road, East Lyme; 2 Shaker Road, Enfield; 235 Main Street, Norwalk; and 203 Kennedy Drive, Putnam. One additional location will be announced in the coming months.
The clinics are slated to open within a year. Customers can get an array of services at the clinics, including primary care, screenings, vaccinations, confidential telehealth services and more. The clinics will be open daily, and customers can get services by appointment or walk-in.
The collaboration aims to improve access to care, according to Hartford HealthCare and Walgreens, as customers can access medical care, pharmacy and retail services all in one location.
Jeffrey A. Flaks, president and CEO of Hartford HealthCare, said of the new partnership, “Hartford HealthCare is intent on changing the way healthcare is delivered, and this collaboration with Walgreens is another example of the variety of convenient offerings and care settings we are adding.”
