Q&A:

What do you do in your current job? The typical day in my job is spending time working directly with my customer — I am focused on a local aerospace company. We understand their engineering gaps and work to identify effective ways to help them using our resources and tools.

What are your goals in your current job? Maintain strong customer relationships and use the Cyient team to provide smarter and faster solutions. The more we devote to the job, the more we will become the go-to for all the customer's needs.

What's your biggest passion? My biggest passions are the two outreach organizations I work with. I sit on the board of directors for Double Dog Rescue, a Connecticut-based dog rescue. I am also the co-leader of a Hartford-based employment program call the Aerospace Employment Placement Program, AEPP.

What are your future professional aspirations? I have been blessed with a career in a growing industry. I would like to continue to be challenged and learn, how that develops my career is to be seen. I have also had the opportunity to bring the AEPP program to my places of employment and that is very important to me. I have had strong leaders with big hearts to help me along the way and I would like to lead like that throughout my career.

How are you involved in the community? This circles back to my biggest passion. I am lucky to help my local community with the AEPP program and reduce the homeless jobless population in Greater Hartford. The program helps with schooling, support and someone believing in you. Bringing people and their families from homelessness to productive and career focused lives changes the way they think and approach life. This is important and very rewarding.

What do you hope Greater Hartford will be like in 10 years? I am hopeful that Hartford will be a culturally rich city that draws people to live and visit. The investment in diversity and rebuilding will need to continue and additional funding allocated to see this through. Hartford is a great place to live and work so we need to instill that in those who have had some struggles and help them back on their feet as a productive part of revitalizing the city.

List four reasons why you deserve to be a 40 Under Forty: Director of Double Dog Rescue (saving hundreds of dogs per year). Co-leader of the Aerospace Employment Placement Program, AEPP. Director of business development at Cyient servicing a large aerospace company. Continue to be involved in helping my local community and the Greater Hartford area reduce homelessness.
