As director of marketing for Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices New England Properties, Kathryn Redican manages all marketing and communications for the Connecticut and Rhode Island offices. Redican has a wide range of responsibilities including overseeing brand strategy and execution, directing media relations, managing special events, supervising the department’s finances and developing marketing platforms. Within Redican’s first year at BHHS, she increased the company’s online presence, helped to automate marketing initiatives for agents, is a proponent of the revitalized new development marketing division, executed a statewide advertising campaign and created strategic partnerships with Zillow, Trulia and Realtor.com.
Prior to joining Berkshire in January 2014, Redican spent more than eight years branding and selling luxury residential properties in New York City for Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group and the LeFrak Organization.
Redican holds a bachelor's degree from Fordham University and is a licensed Connecticut and New York state real estate salesperson. She is a member of the Cheshire Democratic Town Committee and volunteers as race director for the Hewitt Run for a Cause, an annual Father's Day 5K run and walk that benefits charities in the Meriden community. Originally from Connecticut, Redican currently resides in Cheshire with her husband.
At what age did you decide what you wanted to do with your career? 22. Prior to graduating from Fordham I knew I wanted to live in New York and was offered a tremendous opportunity to join The Sunshine Group LTD — the premier luxury real estate sales and marketing firm in New York City. I became captivated by the idea of contributing to the Manhattan skyline through new development projects and was inspired by the collaboration of architects, designers, creative agencies, developers and realtors. Real estate brought together my interests, passions and skill set, making it the perfect career.
How will you change the world? Passing on what I've learned from my many female mentors to other young women both professionally and personally. To follow your passion, let your voice be heard, take action, better your community and be a good friend.
