Bristol-based Lake Compounce will open its doors for its 177th season at 11 a.m. on April 29.
The park announced that – in commemoration of its 177th year – the first 177 guests will receive free gear such as Lake Compounce sunglasses and other items.
Other changes will debut at the park this year:
The popular Boulder Dash roller coaster will, for the first time, have steel tracking to allow for a smoother and faster experience, the park said. The ride, which reaches speeds of 60 miles per hour, will also feature the addition of 580 feet of track.
Lake Compounce also said upgrades will be made to its Potato Patch food stand. One new menu item this year is the Potato Patch fry bucket, which comes with 64 ounces of fresh-cut fries and a new souvenir bucket.
A favorite staple from decades ago – a Summer Concert series – will return for the first time since the early 1990s.
Live music will begin Memorial Day weekend and every Saturday throughout the summer. Performers will include CeeLo Green, Jerrod Niemann, Canaan Smith and All-4-One. A fireworks show is included with admission following each performance in July, the park said.
Lake Compounce also announced it was bringing back seasonal events including Phantom Fall Fest and Holiday Lights.
The park is now offering $30 off select season passes when purchased online. More information is available at LakeCompounce.com.
Lake Compounce features more than 45 rides and attractions and a water park.
