Scott Lewis has been promoted to senior vice president and controller at Hartford Financial Services Group Inc.

He reports to the Hartford property casualty-insurer/wealth manager's finance chief Christopher J. Swift.

Meantime, Jim Yanosy takes over Lewis' old post, as chief financial officer for consumer markets. Yanosy will report to Swift and work closely with consumer markets President Andy Napoli.

Lewis joined The Hartford in 1998 from defunct accounting firm Arthur Andersen, where he was a principal.

A certified public accountant, Lewis earned a B.S. from the UConn. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and serves on the board of the Avon Land Trust.

Yanosy, who joined The Hartford in 2003, most recently led its finance transformation program as well as the company's accounting policy and Sarbanes Oxley compliance teams.

Prior to The Stag, Yanosy held posts at American Skandia and Arthur Andersen.

Yanosy, too, is a CPA and a UConn grad.
