What’s been your biggest professional accomplishment so far in your career?
My greatest accomplishment was completing a large project for customer and leadership satisfaction. I was able to help organize and strategize in a way that got us to our end goal and worked collaboratively with the team to execute. That project framed the way we’ve worked ever since.
How are you involved in the community?
I am vice chairman of the board of education of the East Hartford Alumni Association and Education Foundation. I’m also very involved with our local United Way, primarily in their Women United organization.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I love spending time with my family. I also enjoy traveling and reading. I’m a big sports fan — Go Boston! I consider myself a lifelong learner and have been part of Leadership Greater Hartford’s Quest 2020 and I’m excited to start an MBA program this fall at Villanova.
How will the coronavirus pandemic change the way you work long term?
I’ve been really good at compartmentalizing and trying to have work-life balance. While working through the pandemic, I’ve tried to embrace work-life integration and vulnerability and encouraging others to do the same to make our team stronger. I plan to bring these skills, experiences and vision of leadership to our post-pandemic world.
Four reasons why you deserve to be a 40 Under Forty:
Is a United Way member and volunteer with Women United and the Emerging Leaders Society.
Is the vice chairman of the board of directors of the East Hartford Alumni Association and Education Foundation.
Has had rapid growth at Pratt & Whitney, holding positions of increasing responsibility on complex, significant programs.
Constantly looking for opportunities for growth and development, and translating those skills for the benefit of the community.
I swam with bull sharks off the coast of Florida and am planning future trips!
