Massachusetts-based PeoplesBank has debuted its latest Connecticut branch.
The mutual bank, with $4.4 billion in assets, has opened a new branch in Avon, at 182 West Main St.
It’s the bank’s fifth branch in the state. It also has outposts in West Hartford, South Windsor, East Granby and Suffield.
PeoplesBank first established a brick-and-mortar presence in Connecticut in 2018, with its $60 million purchase of First National Bank of Suffield.
PeoplesBank has also announced a new team of senior associates who will help support the Avon branch, led by Romika Odedra, vice president and Connecticut regional manager. She previously helped open the bank's West Hartford branch, where she served as manager.
Joann Uribe is the Avon branch manager, leading the retail banking team.
Vincent Celentano, assistant vice president and mortgage loan officer, is serving homebuyers in the Avon area.
Daniel Bishop, first vice president of commercial banking, and Mark St. Pierre, vice president, business banking, both serve businesses in the Avon area.
