A Massachusetts-based restaurant chain with an outdoor focus will open its first Connecticut location in the Shops at Farmington Valley plaza in Canton on Friday.
The eatery, 110 Grill Canton, is centered around an outdoor patio with a firepit, couches and tiki torches. The menu features modern American food with many options for diners following gluten-free, allergy-restricted and other diets.
“110 Grill recognized the opportunity for expanded economic growth in the Valley,” General Manager Elizabeth Ackerman said. “We have already seen an uptick in traffic over the last few months due to the influx of New Yorkers that have been reported to be buying or renting residential homes in and around Litchfield County.”
The chain’s first 110 Grill opened in Chelmsford, Mass., in 2014, and 31 locations are now operating in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and New York. The Canton location, at 110 Albany Turnpike, will be the 32nd, and is expected to employ 80 people, according to the company.
“We are thrilled to expand our footprint into the great state of Connecticut and introduce our modern-American concept and commitment to allergy awareness to the local community,” 110 Grill COO Ryan Dion said.
