Mass. company to relocate testing facility from Willington to Bloomfield

A Massachusetts company that provides packaging and testing services for manufacturers of medical devices announced that it will relocate its testing facility from Willington to Bloomfield, expanding its footprint by 400%.
The company, Millstone Medical Outsourcing, said the move is set to take place in the second quarter of 2024.
The Willington facility operates under the name MycoScience. Millstone Medical acquired MycoScience and another testing company, Ethide Laboratories, in December 2022.
In September, MycoScience received zoning approval from the Planning and Zoning Commission in Bloomfield to conduct “laboratory testing and fabrication of non-pharmaceutical products” at the new facility, located at 35 Griffin Road South.
The property is owned by Griffin Center Realty LLC, based in Framingham, Massachusetts..
The new 25,000-square-foot laboratory will include state-of-the-art upgrades, the company said in an announcement.
Millstone Medical, which is privately held, is headquartered in Fall River, Massachusetts and has other locations in Olive Branch, Mississippi and West Warwick, Rhode Island.
