Mauro Motors has purchased the BMW of Bridgeport dealership at 43 North Ave., according to an announcement.
It is an expansion for the family-owned and operated Mauro Motors, which has BMW and Mercedes-Benz dealerships in North Haven.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Mitch McManus, dealer principal at BMW of Bridgeport, said it has been a “proud BMW dealer” in the state for more than two decades.
“We will really miss our great team of associates at BMW of Bridgeport,” McManus said. “Market conditions are exceptionally good right now, and we felt it was time for the next phase of our lives to begin. They are in very good hands with Jake Mauro and the rest of the Mauro Motors team.”
Jake Mauro, president of Mauro Motors, said the company is in its 30th year and wants to grow.
“We are excited to enter a new chapter in our company’s history by welcoming BMW of Bridgeport into our family of dealerships,” Mauro said.
Haig Partners of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, served as advisor to the seller and previously represented the business when it sold its BMW dealership in Ridgefield.
Mike Toth, managing director at Haig Partners, said dealership values in the Northeast continue to be strong, “making it an attractive market for dealers looking to grow.”
