As part of Hartford Business Journal’s 2024 C-suite Awards, we recognize top executives who have made significant contributions to their organizations over the last year.

We’ve identified leaders who stood out for their commitment to excellence to various stakeholders, including investors, employees and the broader community.

Our winners this year range from CEOs of large private companies to nonprofit leaders, CFOs, chief marketing officers and a host of other C-suite positions.

In this special section, we also honor two Lifetime Achievement Award winners who have made lasting impacts on their organizations: Chris Ulbrich, chairman and CEO of Ulbrich Stainless Steels & Special Metals Inc., and Roberta “Bert” Wachtelhausen, founder and former president of WellSpark Health.

In terms of methodology, the business community was invited to nominate C-suite executives, and winners were selected by a panel of independent judges: Anthony Anthony, chief marketing officer for the state of Connecticut, and Meg Warren, executive director of the Office of External and Alumni Engagement at the UConn School of Business.

We’ll be honoring all of our winners during a special event, Oct. 10, at Farmington Gardens.
