Michelle Frank, 2024 Women in Business Honoree

Michelle Frank has over 20 years of experience as an executive leader. She is passionate about driving healthcare innovation and transformation.

As the chief growth officer at Goodroot, Frank has been instrumental in identifying new business opportunities and implementing commercial strategies to increase market share and deliver measurable value to the Goodroot community of companies and its customers.

Canton-based Goodroot is an umbrella company that provides capital, finance, legal, HR, sales and marketing support to scale healthcare technology companies.

Prior to joining Goodroot, she founded and led Tryton Solutions, a national IT consulting firm, and served as the chief growth officer at MHK.

What have been your biggest professional accomplishments?

As an entrepreneur, I launched my first business at 24, which was later sold and remains operational. I then founded an IT consulting venture, reaching over $7 million in annual revenue. I delivered the revenue growth that led to the sale of MHK.

At Goodroot, I spearheaded the commercialization of our affiliate companies.

What’s the next big goal you want to accomplish professionally?

My next big goal is to broaden the reach of Goodroot’s products and services, increasing access and affordability of health care for more individuals and companies. I’m dedicated to realizing the vision of a medical-debt-free America, ensuring everyone can afford their healthcare needs.

I believe it’s a mission with a profound, long-lasting impact.

What’s one of the biggest professional challenges you’ve overcome?

My greatest professional challenge was managing parenthood alongside entrepreneurship. Daily hurdles included juggling schedules, prioritizing tasks and staying focused.

Adaptation was key to navigating the balancing act. While perfection eluded me, our determination ensured success in making it work.

How are you involved in the community?

Community involvement is a family affair for us. Together, we fundraise for local charities and support our children’s sports teams.

What legacy do you want to leave after your career is over?

I am dedicated to preparing and inspiring the next generation to uphold the mission of affordable health care. Through mentorship, training and fostering a culture of innovation, I aim to equip them with the skills and passion needed to continue the pursuit of accessible and affordable health care for all.
