ERW Inc., a manufacturer in Putnam, has been acquired by Milford-based Alinabal Group.
The deal was announced Monday by Woodbridge International, a global mergers and acquisitions firm based in New Haven that brokered the deal. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
ERW, located at 91 Highland Drive in Putnam, has been a sheet-metal fabricator and machined products provider since 1985. It serves the aerospace industry for both commercial and military applications, and the medical device industry.
Alinabal Group, at 28 Woodmont Road in Milford, manufactures highly specialized metal components, assemblies and subassemblies for the aerospace and defense, military, medical, and recreation and power sports markets. It has more than 275 employees in five facilities, all based in the United States, with annual revenue of $85 million.
“Today marks an exciting beginning for ERW as we join Alinabal Group,” Andrew Whittenburg, general manager of ERW, said in a news release. “Our companies share proud histories of customer service, quality and innovation. Together, we are committed to bringing more value to our customers as we leverage our collective expertise to provide them an advantage in today’s most challenging metal applications.”
Alinabal is a portfolio company of Akoya Capital LLC and PNC Mezzanine Capital, Woodbridge International said. Akoya Capital is a sector-focused private equity firm that invests only in industries where it has directly relevant operating experience and deep domain expertise.
