If a cookie is your favorite way to end a meal at Subway, the Milford company’s new pop-up shop is for you.
Cookieway, a store devoted solely to the chain’s baked treats, opens at 91 Allen St. in New York City on Dec. 2 and operates through the weekend. The opening was timed to coincide with National Cookie Day on Dec. 4, the company said.
Chief Marketing Officer Carrie Walsh said, “Subway is launching Cookieway as a special thank you to our fans, who overwhelm us with love for our cookies and have helped make Subway cookies the co-star of our menu, alongside our subs.”
On offer at the shop will be regular flavors including chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, raspberry cheesecake and white chip macadamia nut, along with seasonal flavors caramel apple, s'mores and caramel brownie. Two new cookie flavors will debut exclusively at the pop-up: double chocolate and M&M.
The Milford chain also announced new savory menu items for the winter season earlier this month, including Chicken & Bacon Ranch and Baja Chicken & Bacon subs, along with sandwiches featuring premium oven-roasted Choice Angus Roast Beef.
New menu items are part of the chain’s “Eat Fresh Refresh” campaign launched in July to bring customers back to the restaurants after sales declines in recent years.
