Mixed-income multifamily townhouse complex proposed for Rocky Hill

A Rocky Hill development company is proposing a multifamily townhouse complex with some affordable units to help meet the town’s affordability goals.

Rocamora Acquisitions LLC is proposing The Residences at 1093, a new three-building development with a total of 25, two-bedroom townhouse-style apartments at 1093 New Britain Ave.

Two of the three buildings will sit along New Britain Avenue, containing six and eight units. The third building will sit at the back of the site and have 11 units. The complex will have 40 parking spaces.

Most of the units will be market rate, with eight units deemed affordable at 80% of the area median income level, 

The 3.9-acre site, which previously contained a dilapidated and vacant house and barn, was purchased by 1093 New Britain Avenue LLC and principal Gaetan Rocamora in December 2022 for $165,000.
