The owner and developer of a mixed-use project in Milford is planning to redevelop an existing building and construct two new office/residential buildings as part of a second phase of the Metro on Broad project.

Milford-based Metro 135 LLC, an affiliate of Metro Star Property Management, plans to rehabilitate an existing structure at 153-155 Broad St., and build two new mixed-use office and residential structures, to be known as 147 and 151 Broad St.

The existing building at 153-155 Broad St., which has residential on the main floor, will be redeveloped, turning the second-floor office into an apartment and making the building a two-family house.

A new building at 151 Broad St., will have first-floor office space and six residential units above. Another new 18,100-square-foot building at 147 Broad will have first-floor office space and 15 studio and one-bedroom units on the floors above.

The engineer on the project is Connecticut Civil Group Unit M, and the architect is John A. Wicko, both of Milford.

The complex will add 16 new parking spaces to the existing 176, for a total of 192 enclosed and open parking spaces.
