G. Duncan Harris has been named permanent CEO of Capital Community College in Hartford.
Harris, who previously worked as Capital's interim CEO, replaced the then-president Wilfredo Nieves in 2018, and has since led strategic reorganization, fundraising and enrollment-management efforts at the community college.

The YMCA of Greater Hartford announced Eric Clapprood, principal at business consulting firm Deloitte Consulting, LLP, will serve as the nonprofit's new board chair.
New members of the YMCA of Greater Hartford board, whose terms expire in 2022, include Julianne Avallone of the state Department of Consumer Protection; Dr. Reggie Eadie of Trinity Health of New England; R. Nelson “Oz” Griebel, retired former head of the MetroHartford Alliance, Tim McGrath of UnitedHealthCare and Tim Restall of the Hartford Yard Goats.

David Banker was named president of the Connecticut Water Works Association, a policy making organization of public water supply utilities.
Banker currently works as senior project manager at the metropolitan district at Clinton-based water utility the Connecticut Water Corp.

BL Companies, a Meriden multi-disciplinary architecture, engineering, environmental and land surveying firm, named nine Connecticut employees to the position of principal.
New principals in the Meriden office include Barbara Bamberg, Michael Bensh, Breton Boudreaux, Patrick Corless, Michael Dion, Kelly Hwang and Susan Knech. The other new principals based in Connecticut are Matthew Bruton out of Hartford and Robert Cappelli out of Canton.
