M&T Bank-People’s United integration set for Labor Day weekend

M&T Bank will begin integrating its systems with former People's United Bank customers over the Labor Day weekend.

During the transition, customers' new ATM cards will go live on Saturday and People United’s online and mobile services will shut down at 5 p.m. Friday.

People’s United ATMs will not be available Friday morning and branches will close early on Friday, by 3 p.m., and will reopen Tuesday morning.

Bills and online accounts are also being migrated to new systems. Some customers' account numbers will change.

Call centers will be open throughout the Labor Day weekend. The number for personal accounts is 1-800-414-9435, and 1-866-632-4512 for business customers.

M&T acquired the Bridgeport-based bank for $7.6 billion in April.
