The city will host a two-day music festival this weekend at Trinity Health Stadium, home to the Hartford Athletic soccer team.
The inaugural Capital City Music & Beer Festival presented by Hoffman Auto includes five bands and 40 brands of beer.
Friday is "Back to the '80s" night, with a performance by new wave band A Flock of Seagulls, known for the 1982 hit, “I Ran (So Far Away).”
On Saturday night, reggae band The Legendary Wailers will perform.
Breweries, distilleries and vineyards from New England will offer tastings.
Single-day tickets are $49 for beer-tasting and music, $32 for music only and $80 for VIP experience. Two-day passes available for $54.

Hartford’s music and beer festival comes at a time of change in the craft beer scene. According to a July 11 article in Axios, beer festivals are facing an existential crisis.
The publication reported that beer festivals in Colorado and nationwide are waning in popularity as consumers feel the pinch of a tightening economy – and due to "fatigue among fans.”
Recently, two of the top national brewers, Breckenridge Big Beers and the WeldWerks Invitational, decided not to host events this year.
