NBT Bank is expanding in Connecticut, with plans to open a new branch at 68 South Main St., in West Hartford.
The new branch, which is undergoing renovations, will have a drive-thru along with 24-hour ATM access. It’s expected to open in early 2024.
NBT Bank already offers personal banking services in West Hartford from its Connecticut regional headquarters at 433 South Main St. That location will remain open, continuing to house the bank’s commercial banking and wealth management teams.
Norwich, New York-based NBT Bank completed its acquisition of Salisbury Bank and Trust Co. in August. Salisbury Bank had 13 offices in northwestern Connecticut, the Hudson Valley and southwestern Massachusetts, which are now part of NBT.
In Greater Hartford, it also has a Glastonbury branch.
NBT entered the Connecticut market in 2020, and recorded a 28% increase in Connecticut deposits (to $47.2 million as of June 30) over the past year.
The bank’s parent company, NBT Bancorp, had assets of $11.89 billion as of June 30.
NBT Bank offers its services in seven states, including New York, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine and Connecticut.
