A 23,400-square-foot New Britain manufacturing building recently sold for $1.5 million to a limited liability company tied to a Massachusetts-based industrial machinery auctioneer and is now available for lease.
In a deed recorded Feb. 4, Carl B. Deloe, of Wethersfield, sold the 1969-vintage, brick and masonry building on 2.6 acres at 390 John Downey Drive that had housed D.S.O. Manufacturing Co. to 390 John Downey Drive Partners LLC.
The buyer is affiliated with Agawam-based DeCosmo Industrial Auctions, a vendor of industrial equipment.
DeCosmo Industrial Auctions Vice President Tom DeCosmo Jr. on Wednesday, said his company auctioned the equipment at D.S.O Manufacturing in October on behalf of the company owner, who has retired.
The New Britain property is available for rent through Michael Gallon, owner of 4Q Properties. The building can be expanded to meet tenant demand for additional space, Gallon said.
Gallon said Delo had kept the building in pristine condition. The property also benefits from its location in an area heavy with aerospace manufacturers, he noted. The property also offers room to double the square footage of the building, Gallon said. Multiple potential tenants are considering the space, he said.
“The building is very clean and so it is very attractive,” Gallon said.
